DJ Hupp is a filmmaker, actor, and comedian based in Portland, Oregon. Known for his unique comedic shorts and mash-ups, DJ brings a fresh, witty perspective to the world of film and satire. He’s the creative mind behind BardSubs.com, a project that offers modern, comedic subtitles for films based on the works of Shakespeare, and HuppingtonFost.com, a satire site akin to The Onion. Through these projects, along with his sketch comedy troupe Analysis Paralysis, DJ has earned a reputation for clever, thought-provoking humor.

DJ worked with James Nguyen (creator of the famously bad Birdemic), editing his film Julie and Jack, which was featured on RiffTrax because of its notoriety. He also created AI: The Kubrick Edit, a fan edit of AI that developed a cult following for being one of the earliest examples of fan-edited films.

DJ has recently completed his first novel, The Patsy, an alternate history thriller in which John F. Kennedy’s second term leads to a nuclear war. The story follows a man inhabiting Lee Harvey Oswald’s consciousness as part of a mission to alter the course of history. The Patsy will be available soon.
